From the initial google search, yielding millions of often unhelpful, unclear and un-local results, to knowing where to go to try ring on or see something in person. Rings are such small scale objects that they look very different when viewed in real life, as even looking on your phone screen will be at a much larger scale than reality.

In my experience, and one of the reasons why I founded The Cut London, the biggest factor in finding a beautiful, well made design that you love, is finding a trustworthy and likeminded jewellery designer to make it. This is the often the hardest part, as the aforementioned millions of results are pretty unhelpful, and if you're trying to plan a surprise proposal it's risky to start asking your social circle for advice and recommendations.
