Help and ideas for buying your engagement ring in London

Buying an engagement ring in London can feel overwhelming. From the initial google search, yielding millions of often unhelpful, unclear and un-local results, to knowing where to go to try ring on or see something in person.

There are so many questions that make the search feel stressful and extremely time-consuming - with the added pressure of making sure you find 'The One.'

Buying an engagement ring in London can feel overwhelming. From the initial google search, yielding millions of often unhelpful, unclear and un-local results, to knowing where to go to try ring on or see something in person. Rings are such small scale objects that they look very different when viewed in real life, as even looking on your phone screen will be at a much larger scale than reality.

From knowing how much a 1 carat diamond ring might cost (answer: read previous blog post) to understanding how the bespoke engagement ring process works and how long it takes, there are so many questions that make the search feel stressful and extremely time-consuming - with the added pressure of making sure you find 'The One.'

In my experience, and one of the reasons why I founded The Cut London, the biggest factor in finding a beautiful, well made design that you love, is finding a trustworthy and likeminded jewellery designer to make it. This is the often the hardest part, as the aforementioned millions of results are pretty unhelpful, and if you're trying to plan a surprise proposal it's risky to start asking your social circle for advice and recommendations.

So - every Monday I offer short consultations over the phone that you can book, where I can listen to your ideas so far and help you progress with finding the dream ring. Whether that's incorporating an inherited diamond or gemstone into a new design, or how to make the best of your budget, I can help reduce the stress and overwhelm.

Book your Monday chat session here and feel free to ask me anything, no question is too small or trivial, and I'll share the tricks of the trade and my trusted contacts. And don't worry - if you've missed the closest Monday and need urgent help with any jewellery purchase, drop me an email and I'll do my best to help.
