What are the engagement ring trends for 2025? From lab-grown diamonds to chunky designs, here's what our Founder Kate predicts will be big this year...

East-West Diamond ring by Minka
1. EAST-WEST SETTINGS
East-west settings, where a long diamond or gemstone cut is set lengthways rather than pointing 'up' the finger will be huge, inspired by Zendaya's iconic ring debuted at The Golden Globes. Emerald cuts, ovals and pear cut diamonds look great set in this style.

2. BEZEL SETTING
Bezel set diamond rings are still going strong, where the diamonds are 'framed' by the gold setting rather than using claws.
This keeps the design looking minimal and modern. Don't worry though, claws can be used subtly for additional security or a design feature, but the diamond will be totally secure if bezel set by an experienced jeweller.

3. CURVY STYLES
Voluminous, curvy styles with some asymmetry for a unique look...
This look is soft and edgeless, with rounded silhouettes and 'chubby' looking gold lines. Danish jeweller Kamilla Ruberg has created a capsule collection that encapsulates this fresh style.

4. HIDDEN HALOS
Trend prediction no.4 is a 'Hidden Halo' - aligning with the ‘quiet luxury’ trend...
Iconic jewellery designer Hattie Rickards is the queen of the dropped halo, where an arch of diamonds or gemstones sit on the side of the ring, only occasionally being seen as a flash of sparkle or colour.

5. BROWN DIAMONDS
Deeper hues of cognac, champagne and earthy brown diamonds are making a comeback, reflecting the luxury of natural gemstones and diamonds vs the whiteness of the lab grown trend...

6. LAB GROWN DIAMONDS
However, Lab grown diamonds are set to rise in popularity even more, due to the larger sizes they allow and the resulting bolder designs.
