...Ruth Tomlinson has recently occupied a beautiful, 3 story atelier that is now home to her well-established and iconic jewellery brand. Hatton Garden is the perfect location for this much loved jeweller, and the building is a welcoming and bright space for clients to visit and try the pieces on - a rare asset for an independent brand.

The jewellery itself embues a true sense of the original, with Ruth's aesthetic developed from years of experience since launching the company in 2001, finely honing and refining a signature style: tiny, granular details holding beautiful diamonds and gemstones in seemingly irregular formations. The result is a modern classic; beautiful, thoughtful creations that feel like a relaxed and unconventional way to wear diamonds and precious gemstones.

The rings work so well as engagement rings for those leaning towards a more natural style, with a nod to vintage designs, although Ruth's aesthetic is hard to define due to its sheer originality. For a jewellery designer to have an identifiable and recognisable style that they have made their own is rare, and Ruth Tomlinson has certainly achieved this. The pieces remain addictively collectible as they are so easy to wear yet completely precious; a good friend recently bought matching cognac diamond cluster earrings for her wedding day to go with her engagement ring and wedding band, and is still eyeing up necklaces in a rainbow of colours.
